Italy has exported 380,600 tons of Fruits & Vegetables to Germany.
I.C.E, the agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, announces that Italy is the main supplier of the German market with an average volume of Fruit & Vegetables exports to Germany from 380 600 tons per year.
Then Spain ranks number 2 and France in the 3rd position. In total, Germany imports more than 2 million tons of fresh fruit each year and more than 3 million tons of fresh vegetables.
According to I.C.E. Consumption in Germany, for the year 2014/2015, per capita reached 63.9 kg of fruit and 93.5 kg for vegetables. In fruits, the Germans preferred apples (23,5kg), bananas (12kg) and grapes (5,2kg). Vegetables include tomatoes (24.8 kg), carrots (8.6 kg), onions (8.3 kg) and cucumbers (6.8 kg).
