Fruktona Ltd: about frozen berries market of Ukraine at “Berries of Ukraine 2019” conference in Kiev

Within “Berries of Ukraine 2019” conference in Kiev the main trends on national and international berry markets were analyzed. According to experts, the  frozen berries in Ukraine is growing rapidly every year. The leading position is still occupied by cherries, followed by raspberries, then strawberries and lingonberries. Among the advantages of Ukrainian berries experts highlight the quality, range of varieties and packaging. In 2017, exports of berries amounted to 24.68 thousand tons, in 2018 - 37.4, and for 2019 experts predict 50 thousand tons.

Lidia Pavlenko, sales manager at Fruktona Ltd, shared with us her practical vision on frozen berry market trends. “At the moment we feel confident on the market of frozen berries as we could satisfy retail requirements for packaging, quantity and quality. Our production capabilities allow us to enter European retailers and supply European market with organic product.

Lidia Pavlenko announces, that in order to achieve strategic goals and follow market trends, during the next few years, Fruktona Ltd plans to open a new plant for the production of fruit puree and fillings, and then open a sublimation line, that  will help to  diversify  business and provide an opportunity to develop new markets. Additionally to mentioned above, company is planning to launch a project for the production of french fries and start working with a new direction of vegetables export. To arrange process effectively company will develop and expand stockpiling warehouses in Ukraine  by opening new ones in Rivne, Uzhgorod and Vinnitsa.
