The 'Health at a Glance: Europe 2022' report is published by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development). It examines the consequences of the pandemic in various European countries and assesses a number of important behavioral and environmental risk factors that have a major impact on people's health and mortality.
Among the many studies, the daily consumption of fruit and vegetables tells us that Ireland is the European champion. In the country 33% of the population consumes 5 or + portions per day, 48% of the population consumes 1 to 4 portions per day and only 19% of the population consumes 0 portion per day.
Ireland (33%-48%-19%) is followed by the Netherlands (30%-29%-41%), Denmark (23%-39-38%), France (20%-56 %-25%), Lithuania (16%-43%-41%).
The average of the 27 EU member countries is 12% of the population consuming 5 or + servings per day, 55% of the population consuming 1 to 4 servings per day and 33% of the population consuming 0 servings per day.
