Peruvian agroexports top $3 billion in first quarter

Fresh grapes, blueberries, mangoes, and avocados led non-traditional shipments.
Peru’s agricultural exports reached US$3.055 billion between January and March 2026, marking a 6.9% increase compared with the same period last year, according to MIDAGRI.
Non-traditional products continued to dominate the export basket, accounting for US$2.889 billion, or 94.6% of total shipments. Fresh grapes led the category with US$745 million, followed by blueberries with US$321 million, mangoes with US$256 million, and avocados with US$237 million.
The traditional segment also posted strong growth, reaching US$166 million after a 43% increase.
Among the fastest-growing products were vegetable seeds, passion fruit juice, fresh blueberries, and avocados.
The United States and the Netherlands were the main destinations for Peruvian agricultural exports. Together with Spain, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, Canada, Colombia and China, they accounted for 80.7% of total purchases.
In March alone, agricultural exports reached US$824 million, up 6.2% year-on-year. The sector closed the quarter with an agricultural trade surplus of US$1.368 billion, 19.3% higher than in 2025.
