Wholesale prices for pears skid down in Ukraine

Based on the recent information, wholesale prices for local pears have dropped down by 30% this week in Kiev (Ukraine). According to the latest data, at the current moment local pears price verify from approximately 0,54 -0,56 USD/kg, while only 1 week before costs for this kind of fruits remained on the level of 0,76 USD/kg. In spite of dramatic price drop within domestic fruits market of Ukraine, this season pears prices are still reported to be 2 times higher comparing to the previous year figures. Basically further price decrease is expected in August together with appearance of local pears major producers within domestic market of Ukraine.
