Cuban mangoes are exported for the first time to Europe.
Already exporting MD-2 pineapples, fruit juices, papayas and chillies (Chile Habanero) to Europe and the Middle East, Cuba has just added mangoes that have just been shipped for the first time in Europe.
Agroindustrial Ceballos, the agricultural hub of the Ciego de Ávila region, began exporting fresh mangoes to Europe. These fruits of different varieties (Tommy Atkins, Super Haden ...) come from its Frutales Ceballos unit, which already has extensive experience of exportable products with plantation control programs to ensure pest- and disease-free crops and a packing site that meets the requirements of international markets.
