Multiplication of plantations in Kazakhstan where the nut sector is strengthened.
The country has the potential to become one of the world leaders in the production and export of nuts and multiplies ambitious projects to expand crops.
Recently, a new project has been launched in the Almaty region with the planned planting of 220 000 walnut trees over the next 3 years. With a total area of 800 hectares, the project is estimated at a cost of USD 5.8 million.
In recent years, the nut sector has grown strongly and has gained many acreages in several regions of the country. Producers believe they will be able to meet the demand of the global market.
