Dramatic decline in food production in Japan that only produces 39% of the food for its population.
The Ministry of Agriculture announced measures for the exceptional importation of thousands of tons of butter and milk powder. Food production fell and the situation is unlikely to improve , especially in the meat sector , dairy products and fruits.
According to official sources , Japan produces enough rice and vegetables but should continue to import large quantities of wheat and fruit.
