Fruitylife: diet helps fight against the ills of the season
FJ
From the first days of grisaille and cold, it is important to introduce into your diet fruits and vegetables of the season.
Fruits and vegetables of fall and winter also offer a wide range of products to choose from: kiwi, citrus, apples, pears, chestnuts, pomegranates, persimmons, fennel, broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, beets, cabbage, spinach, leeks and pumpkins. A wide spectrum of colors ranging from orange to brown, purple to green, with many nutritional properties that help the body to prevent and cure the ills of the season. This is possible mainly due to vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system, mainly contained in kiwi fruit and citrus (oranges, clementines and mandarins) but also in the cauliflower and broccoli, vitamins A and B and various mineral salts useful in case of anemia and fatigue.
Each fruit and each vegetable has its own nutritional qualities and brings benefits recognized for the health and well-being. Choosing seasonal foods can best benefit from these properties. To remind the seasonal character of fruits and vegetables, the site (fruitylife.eu) created under the project Fruitylife - "Fruits and vegetables, healthy and safe," offers a practical and colorful calendar, in which are indicated the main products of the season month by month, with the information on nutritional substances that they contain.
