Mercabarna hosts the World Congress of Markets (WUWM) in Barcelona

This week Barcelona is the world capital of food products with the fair ALIMENTARIA (April 16-19) and Congress WUWM (April 16-18).

From April 16th to the 18th, Mercabarna hosts the World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) Congress, which brings together leading wholesale and retail markets around the world. The event will bring together around 250 food market managers and professionals from 26 countries.

Information, debates, exchanges, many topics will be discussed as aspects related to sustainability, job creation and social responsibility markets. Another highly anticipated time is the presentation of studies on trends in the purchase of fresh produce.

Founded in 1955, the World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the exchange of information between wholesale and retail markets around the world, with the aim of improving organization, management and construction. The WUWM is made up of more than 800 wholesale and retail markets in 42 countries around the world.
