Beginning of the season for Raf tomatoes

The season begins for the Raf tomato which has a sweet taste very popular.
Like every year in December, the campaign begins for Raf tomatoes that are grown in greenhouses in the province of Almeria.
Hortyfrutta said that 2,500 hectares of production should give 30,000 tons of Raf. While a plant can produce about 20 kg of tomatoes, the Raf yields only 3 to 5 kg.
The high salinity of the water and the soil give a sweet flavor characteristic.
Begun in December, production will continue until spring.
