After several months of intense work, the company got the ISO 14001, which shows its constant commitment to a sustainable planet. This international standard specifies the requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS), which provides an operational tool to measure environmental objectives and which promotes the protection and prevention of environmental impact, while seeking balance with socio-economic aspects.

During the last 10 years, Gufresco's Environmental Program has focused on supporting the necessary transition towards an environmentally sustainable economy, minimizing the environmental impact of its activities and betting on reducing the use of plastics in the packaging of its products and incorporating alternatives less harmful to the environment, such as R-PET plastic or compostable materials such as wheat fiber, PLA and FSC cardboard.
