Peru plans to produce up mandarins

Despite the presence of the El Niño phenomenon , which could slow the ripening of fruits, the 2015 production was expected to rise.
According to analysts, the production of mandarins will reach 402,900 tons in 2015. An increase of 17.8 % over last year.
Peru has already exported this year over the period January-July 2015: 23,000 tons of tangelos , 51,000 tons of mandarins, 2500 tons of oranges, 1500 tons of lemons.In 2014, the main destinations for Peruvianmandarins was to the US with 71,400 tonnes (33.8%) , the UK (28.1% ), Canada (15.8%) , the Netherlands ( 10.2%) .
