GETLINK, the new name of the EUROTUNNEL GROUP

GETLINK carries more than 20 million passengers and 1.6 million trucks each year.
GROUPE EUROTUNNEL operating the Channel Tunnel has announced that it is changing its name for GETLINK. Evoking the dynamics of exchanges and links, this new name marks the Group's entry into a new era of mobility infrastructure.
GETLINK brings together the activities of the trademarks that are:
- EUROTUNNEL, leader of the trans-Channel trade under its brands EUROTUNNEL THE SHUTTLE and EUROTUNNEL THE SHUTTLE FREIGHT,
- EUROPORTE, the leading private rail freight operator in France,
- ELECLINK, future electricity interconnection between Great Britain and France
- CIFFCO, the 1st private training center dedicated to the railway trades.
At the beginning of November, the Group had announced passenger traffic (passenger car and coach transport) to 198,474 vehicles for the previous month, 2% growth and truck traffic to 142,759 trucks so 5% increase. In the first 10 months of 2017, truck traffic is at the same level as last year.
