Records for the 2015/16 kiwis season

 

 

 

The total Zespri turnover for the 2015/16 season increased to NZD 1.9 billion, up by 21% from the previous season. New Zealand producers recorded an average of 60 758 NZD per hectare and 11,048 trays of kiwifruit per hectare (8972 trays per hectare last year).

 

 

Zespri has sold 131.6 million trays during the 2015/16 season, an increase of 21% compared to the previous season. Kiwis grown in New Zealand have filled 117 million trays (almost 22 million more than the previous year trays) and those grown outside New Zealand 14.5 million trays.
