Export volumes of apples skyrocket in Poland

 Poland has increased export volumes of apples to Kazakhstan by 5 times this season. According to the latest data, more than 2 000 tons of apples were exported to the domestic market of Kazakhstan during August-September 2014. Basically Polish fruits producers supplied approximately 7 000 tons of apples to Kazakhstani internal market during this period. The above mentioned numbers 2 times exceed previous year figures. Provided that, Poland takes the lead among countries-suppliers of apples to Kazakhstan, its market share goes up to 47%. It stands to mention that local specialists predict Kazakhstan to become top-priority market for apples exporting from EU countries as main alternative market to the Russian one. Polish analysts consider high possibility that apples exported to Kazakhstan are likely to be re-exported to Russia.
