China is ready to resume imports of bananas from the Philippines.
After a ban in March, imports of bananas from the Philippines are now allowed.
After meeting with its Chinese counterparts, a minister said that China is ready to continue its imports. China banned bananas from the Philippines in March, citing parasites. This prohibition was accompanied by more stringent sanitary requirements
for a possible resumption of imports.
