Fruit exports increased by 41 %

Peruvian fruit export increased of 41% compared to last year.
Very satisfactory and positive balance sheet for the Association of Peruvian exporters (ADEX) with an increase of 41% in fruit exports.
The Association of Peru exporters (ADEX) has just indicated that fruit exports had a total of 293,9 million dollars for the first 2010 quarter, increasing of 41 % over the same period previous year (208,8 millions).
The most requested products are fresh grapes (61,9 million dollars) mangoes (61,7 millions), avocado (52,6 millions) and bananas (26,6 millions).
These exports of fresh and transformed products had for main destinations: the Netherlands (33 % of the total), the United States (24 %), Spain (8 %), Hong-Kong (6 %), and the United Kingdom (6 %).
