Quarantine pest was detected in strawberries imported to Russia from Greece
At the beginning of this month, Greek strawberries have been sent for examination to the Federal Veterinary And Phytosanitary Monitoring Service. Due to the examination results, imported berries were contaminated with Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande). In order to prevent spread of the quarantine pest detected in Greek strawberries, Monitoring Service has rendered decision to send all the berries back to the country of origin.
