Turkiye sees Asian markets as an alternative to Russia
Among biggest delegations in Asia Fruit Logistica was Turkiye. The pavillon of Turkish companies has been organized by the Mediterreanian Union of Exporters together with Citrus Promotion Group and other associations.
This event is strategic for Turkish players, aware of big potential offered by Asian markets. Asia is considered by many Turkish exporters as an alternative market to traditional Russian market. Organisations have therefore worked a lot to promote Turkiye origin with a new message: "Turkey, discover its potential".
These last years we have seen, exports of pomelos to Japan and beginning of negociations to autorize Turkish cherries to enter in China. Therefore, Turkish delegation must be present with a strong delegation of exporters already used to deal with those Asian markets.
Apart of the delegation, some other Turkish companies even decided to exhibit by their own with bigger stand, like Aksun specialised in figs and citrus.
Avec ces dernières années, l’exportation de pomelos vers le Japon et des pourparlers en bonne marche pour l’exportation de cerises turques en Chine, la Turquie se devait d’être présente avec des entreprises, déjà familiarisées avec le commerce dans cette partie du monde.
