Pakistani export in increase : +55% for fruits and + 71% for vegetables.
FBS (Pakistan statistics Office) gave the figures of fruits and vegetables exports of the country which show prodigious increases.
The exports of fruits during July-April (2009/10) were recorded at $208.773 million against the exports of $134.643 million during the same period last year, showing 55.06 % increase.
The vegetable exports during the period under review stood at $100.937 million against the exports of $58.952 million recorded in July-April (2008/09), registering an increase of 71.22 %.
Recently, Pakistan concluded a trade agreement with Australia which will facilitate the entrance of Pakistani products, in particular fresh products (mango, citrus fruits, apples, dates).
