Organto Foods increases seasonal supply of organic avocado

Organto Foods Inc., one of the global providers of fresh organic fruits and vegetables, announced a contract to increase seasonal supply of organic avocado from its strategic grower based in Morocco. The first shipment of the season from Morocco has already been landed in Europe, and avocados from this source are expected to continue shipping through late February to mid-March 2021, depending on growing conditions and product quality.

Organto has partnered with this Moroccan supplier since the end of 2019. The product was well received in the markets, and as a result, the company arranged to expand its supply from this supplier in order to benefit from the growing market demand. Morocco's proximity to Europe is a plus for Organto, allowing it to deliver and sell avocados in European markets about a week after harvesting and processing (much faster than three to five weeks for avocados from Latin America and other African growers).

The company is constantly developing new sources of supply to meet the demands of its customer base located across Europe. The company's year-round avocado supply chain includes supply from strategic sources in Morocco, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa.

Organic fruits and vegetables provider expects to realize record fourth-quarter revenues, which will be the largest quarterly revenues in the company's history, up about 185% from the same quarter in the prior year. The company expects the commercial expansion of organic avocados to be key to this growth.
