Russia represented 49% of Moroccan exports of citrus, its largest importer
Steadily increasing volume of imports, Russia has become since 2010 largets customer of Moroccan citrus.
In 2010-2011, Russia represented 49% of Moroccan exports of citrus arriving well ahead of the European Union (37%) and North America (12%)

Industry players are considering a new strategy of export-based diversification. Repositioning themselves in traditional markets like Britain, Germany and the Benelux countries and focusing on new markets in Asia.
