The Greenery tests a new aerodynamics for its trucks

The Greenery company, one of the main suppliers of fruits and vegetables operating in the United Kingdom revealed new aerodynamics trailers which could reduce the consumption of fuel in the delivery of fresh products.
Semi-trailers are equipped with Ephicas SideWings, with panels which can have risen on the sides of a semi-trailer and could reduce the consumption of fuel and the 7 % CO2 emissions.
Panels were finalized by Ephicas. Tested in the blower of Delft University of Technology, SideWings was conceived by means of the technology of the aviation. A profile of wing rose inside the panel which allows to double its performance with regard to a conventional panel.
Besides generating savings of fuel and environmental advantages, SideWings allows to improve the road safety and to reduce the noise.
A test on long distance connections towards and from the United Kingdom is launched. After the trial period, The Greenery will estimate energy savings and environmental earnings obtened.
