Pakistan plans to expand its exports of apples.
Russian importers have shown great interest in Pakistan apples, and new prospects are opening up for Pakistani professionals.
Pakistan, with a production of about 1,495 million tons of apples, ranks 10th in the world but exports a very small share.
In recognizing the booming international market demand, Pakistani professionals believe there are opportunities to be seized. Notably by capturing new markets, such as the Russian market that would bring additional trade benefits.
