Costco is extending in Australia

After the first store opened in 2009 in Melbourne, Costco has just opened others stores in Sydney, Canberra, and wants to open six more stores within 3 years.
 

 
By accelerating the pace of its opening, Costco defies the dominance of Coles and Woolworths in the Australian market. Together, these two companies control more than 70% of the grocery market.

 
The price war began months ago. Coles has lowered price of hundreds of articles while Woolworths has freezing prices for some fruit and vegetables. Sales of the two competitors seem to grow in recent months.
