Chilean exports of apples will be less 7% less in terms of volumes shipped than last year.

The export volume of apples from Chile will be less than last season.

The rain and hail at the end of December has resulted in lower than expected harvests. Chilean exports of apples should reach about 708,000 tons this year, a decrease of 7% compared to last year and lower than initial estimates.

Professionals expect good sales as the decline in Chilean production adds to low stocks in the northern hemisphere.
