Fertilizer use will continue to grow

According to a report by FAO, the UN organization for Food, the use of mineral fertilizers in the world by volume should exceed 200.5 million tonnes in 2018.

These 200.5 million tonnes forecast in 2018 represents a volume greater than 25% to the one used in 2008. The organization also providing production for mineral fertilizers remains higher than demand for the 3 major fertilizer (nitrogen, phosphate, potash).

The use of nitrogen to increase by 1.4% per year until 2018, the phosphate 2.2% per year, and the 2.6% pitasse. The availability of these three elements is also expected to increase by 3.7% (nitrogen), 2.7% (phosphate) and 4.2% (potash).
