A plan that provides for further expansion, new activities and enhanced growth of MAAP.

Approved unanimously during the last Board of Directors, the MAAP business plan 2018-2021 reflects the will of the Padova wholesale market to approach the coming years with a major vision (investment, management, image, optics "green") adapted to future challenges.

In this 2018-2021 plan illustrates the construction development of new logistics platforms of about 4000 m2, the complete overhaul of the entrances and exits, the renovation according to techniques "green" of various buildings, the creation of new infrastructures for user internal services, a more efficient information system for input management, complete seismic safety for all structures, the realization of an innovative system of connection between the central market and the new expansion zone of approximately 42,000 m2, which will include 20,000 m2 of logistics platforms, car parks and handling areas, as well as green spaces and phytodurification ponds.

To enhance development, open houses will be held to expand the customer base, and new commercial penetration formats will be developed for new foreign markets.

The possibilities offered by the next e-commerce revolution are explored (AMAZON has already met the management of MAAP) as well as future new commercial channels that will open in the coming years (MAAP was the 1st wholesale market to attend the 1st edition of MAC FRUIT ATTRACTION in Shanghai).

"The board's goal is to further revitalize the market structure with a trend-based philosophy such as 4.0. which means, essentially, changing pace and facing the future with confidence thanks to managerial commitment, investment and new services, in short a positive attitude and support to the commercial needs and growth of commercial operators, logistics and agricultural producers operating in the market, "said Dr. Domenico Minasola, President of the Padova Market.
