Moldova will increase its exports to the EU
FJ
The European Commission will increase export quotas of Moldovan fruits and vegetables.
Moldova and the EU will sign on forthcoming June 27 an association agreement. This agreement contains a clause of free trade that will allow Moldova to export its products without customs duties and project of financial assistance to the agricultural sector.
Exports of fruits and vegetables will thus increase. Some professionals believe that Moldovan exports could double including apples. The country already exports about 20,000 tons of apples, and also ships grapes, plums, tomatoes, cucumbers and cabbage.
