IFEMA will be operational again at the end of the summer season with some major innovations. During the last 4 months of the year, the Madrid exhibition center will host more than 60 fairs and congresses, including Fruit Attraction from 20 to 22 October.
After 2 intense months, the emergency hospital, installed in one of the pavilions of the exhibition center, was dismantled. IFEMA will be able to resume its activities. IFEMA is the leading operator in Spain and one of the most important in Europe in the sector of exhibitions and congresses.
The resumption of activities is scheduled for September, with the programming of more than 60 fairs and congresses planned for the last 4 months of 2020 including the Fruit Attraction fair scheduled from October 20 to 22.
The reopening will be accompanied by major new initiatives. IFEMA adapts to the requirements that the new situation will impose, such as the use of advanced technology to control access in order to comply with capacity restrictions, but also innovative equipment to take the temperature of people entering in meetings as well as other systems to securely control physical distance.
Beyond these new methods for compliance with health regulations, the organizers wish to introduce a new type of fair. More technologies to complement business relationships and face-to-face meetings. "In short, we are designing the new standard for events that will meet future health, safety and mobility requirements," said Eduardo López-Puertas, CEO of IFEMA, who stresses "the importance of the role of IFEMA in creating added value for businesses and reviving the economy. "
