Since yesterday, the general strike of dockworkers paralyzed operations in Haifa, Ashdod and Eilat.
A general strike was launched Monday in the Israeli ports.
The dockworkers' union and the Histadrut National Labor Union are requesting a wage increase of 5% for employees who do not receive bonuses under the 2005 agreement. These workers represent about 500-600 of the 2,300 port workers in Israel.
A general strike was launched on Monday. No cargo will be loaded or unloaded at the ports of Haifa, Ashdod and Eilat. No time limit has been set for this action.
