Difficulties of supply for Zespri

Zespri completes New Zealand production with 1200 producers of the whole world under license.
Disease annihilated two thirds of kiwi Zespri production in Chile and a third of the production in Italy, that’s why Zespri could have problems to answer North hemisphere demand of gold kiwis, but the company says they are able to satisfy the main customers demand.
Decline of Italian production, due to “bacterial canker» or batteriosi, would be lower than 1 % of the total world supply of Zespri. This decrease would be compensated with increase of production in other regions.
Disease which touched Italy does not seem to be present in Greece, which became the 6th biggest world producer of kiwis.
