By moving its headquarters to the Hague, Damco is closer to the heart of Europe.
Damco will leave Copenhagen (Denmark) for The Hague (Netherlands).
Damco is part of AP Moller-Maersk Group and the move will begin in the fourth quarter of 2012 to be completed by the end of Q1 2013.
This change will take place so that Damco can optimise costs by
getting closer to its customers and the heart of European international logistics.
Damco has 10,800 employees in over 280 offices across 90 countries and representation in 30 other countries. In 2011, the company achieved net sales of USD 2.8 billion, managed more than 2.5 million TEUs of cargo shipping and airlifted more than 110,000 tons.
