The horticultural sector unites

In Australia the horticultural sector (turnover estimated at 11 billion AUSD) is forming a new organization that wants to give producers the opportunity to share and develop strategies that will advance the entire sector.
The new HORTICULTURE COUNCIL will be run by the National Farmers Federation (NFF), which includes representatives of VFF (Victorian Farmers Federation) from NSW Farmers and Growcom. Other product groups will also be present: Australian Blueberry Growers' Association, AusVeg, Apple and Pear Australia, Dried Fruits Australia, Voice of Horticulture, Summerfruits Australia.
The work program is loaded with issues of trade and market access, biosecurity, infrastructure, the use of digital, seasonal work.
