The sector of fruits and vegetables found its full capacity two months after the earthquake.
Chile was strucked in February by an earthquake which also disrupted the sector of fruits and vegetables, but two months after the earthquake, the country found its full capacities.
Asoex and Fedefruta, the Chilean organism for the trade of fruits, reports that 87 % of the damage were concentrated in the region of Maule. The loss of production is varied: 36 % for grapes, 20 % for apples, 16 % for pears and 8 % for cranberries.
Two months after the earthquake, the producers and the exporters indicate that the damage in infrastructures have been repaired.
All the industry of fresh fruit works normally: production, transport and packaging found their full capacity, and the ports of the country assure normal shippings.
