Daily Maersk: absolute reliability with guaranteed on-time delivery

Maersk launches a revolutionary service between Europe and Asia: Daily Maersk, daily service with guaranteed deadlines or financial compensation for delays.

 
 While in the trade between Europe and Asia, 44% of containers are late, Maersk wants to introduce an absolute reliability. A deadline for the delivery of freight, 7 days 7. The service will operate between 4 Asian ports (Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian and Tanjung Pelepas) and three European ports (Felixstowe, Rotterdam and Bremerhaven).

 
 The delivery time will be 36 days (Ningbo), 34 days (Shanghai), 30 days (Yantian), 26 days (Tanjung Pelepas). Maersk guarantees these deadlines and will pay a penalty of $ 100 per container in case of delay of 1 to 3 days and $ 300 for a delay of 4 days or more.

 
 Maersk will deploy 70 vessels on the concerned lines. The Daily Maersk service will be launched on October 24th, 2011.
