Smoothies are not good for health

Scientists from the University of North Carolina revealed in a study that smoothies are not harmless. They would even be harmful for health if consumed too much. The reason: the high level of fructose, natural fruit sugar, that these drinks contain.
Consumers replaced smoothies with sodas, considered as better for health. But a smoothie is the sugar equivalent of 4 to 6 oranges or 1 large glass of Coca-Cola. In addition, smoothies do not give the impression of being satiated and implies no decrease in the amount of food consumed. Scientists advise to consume smoothies with more moderation. These drinks are too sweet and never replace a fruit. Fresh fruit should always be preferred.
