California Giant plans to increase further its production of berries

California Giant Berry Farms predicts for the season 2013-14 an increase in volumes thanks to additional areas.
A global increase of 20% for the blueberry (California, Northwest, South America) as well as 25% increase for organic strawberries, because of increased demand. Strawberry season has started in Mexico and Florida, but in California drought conditions will result in additional costs of irrigation. The new crop of blackberries is underway in Mexico, the quality is considered excellent, the overall volume should be also on the rise.
American society California Giant Berry Farms is based in Watsonville, California. Founded in 1970, it began to produce strawberry, and since 2006 has added blueberry, raspberry and blackberry. Its production areas are located in California, but also in Florida, the American Northwest, Canada, as well as in Mexico and South America (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay). California Giant Berry Farms produces and ships more than 20 million trays of berries annually.
