Carotttes / sprouts, featured duo on British tables

Traditional vegetables on Christmas tables, Brussels sprouts are now overtaken by carrots as favorite vegetable of the UK for the holidays.

A recent survey by Freshtime , meals provider, reveals that carrots topped the rankings provided vegetables (73 %) on the holiday tables before the Brussels sprouts (70.6 %).

Another point made by Freshtime , the idea that most of the sprouts are eaten as part of Christmas is a myth. In fact 2/3 of the total consumption in the UK takes place outside of the holiday season.
