Alimentaria 2014, the international showcase for the food industry

The trade fair Alimentaria  will bring together 4000 exhibitors and receive about 140,000 visitors coming from 140 countries.

Alimentaria 2014 will be held from 31 March to 3 April in Barcelona. True international showcase for Spanish food industry the companies of which will represent 2,800 of 4,000 expected exhibitors. The Spanish food industry plans to increase its sales by +4% per year until 2020 and create 60,000 jobs over the next 6 years.

The Spanish agro-alimentarie sector generates 2.3 million jobs and now represents 8.3% of gross domestic product, thanks to export. It is the fourth country for exports of food products in the EU and the 8th country at world level.
