Export of Turkish fruits and vegetables from January to November 2013

Vegetables represent 40 percent of total exports and an increase of 15 percent compared to 2012. Significant increases were observed in the export of potatoes, leeks and zucchini. The most exported product with 450 000 tons remains tomato which have undergone a slight decrease.
The citrus exports remained at the same level as in 2012, the new campaign offsetting the losses in the second part of the 2011-2012 campaign, with about 1 million citrus exported, mainly lemons (350,000 tons) and tangerines (348 000 tons).
The amount of fruits exported is 4% higher compared to 2012 and amounts to 640 000 tons, the most exported fruit being grapes.
Russia, with a total share of 32 percent, remains the main Turkish market. After Iraq, Germany is far behind, despite a significant increase of 25% respectively, Ukraine and Bulgaria.
