The Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG, ASOEX, presented the first estimate of exports of Sugar Plums (D'Agen) plums for the 2022/23 season.
The estimate is based on data provided by 31 plum producing/exporting companies, which, in turn, made up 65% of the exported volume of this variety last season.
The union points out that this year exports would reach 5,085,097 boxes (9 kilos per box), equivalent to 45,766 tons. This means a decrease of 13% compared to last season; however, it is still very important, considering that last season shipments increased 94%.
