Red alert for citrus

In Mexico, the disease of "yellow dragon" is suspected and producers are on high alert.
Insects potentially infected with Salmonella "Huang Long Bing", which causes the "yellow dragon" has just been discovered in the Valley Apatzingán.
After the discovery of suspect samples, it was decided to increase sampling, multiply the "hot spots" in the valley and to strengthen prevention measures.
Over 250 on-site technicians crisscross the region, all producers are on red alert to apply additional measures if necessary.
Apatzingán Valley represents an area of 42,000 hectares of citrus production.
