Prices for apples remain stable in Ukraine

According to the data provided by local analysts, demand for apples remains quite low in Ukraine. This factor prevents Ukrainian producers from increasing prices for apples during this season. Currently most of apples available on Ukrainian fruits markets are mainly late apples. This kind of fruits is sold at 4-5 UAH/kg (0,4 – 0,5 EURO/kg). This season prices are reported to be on the same level comparing to the previous year’s ones. At the same time winter apples, being not of great demand among local consumers, is preferred to be stored instead of selling out almost for nothing.
