The dry weather and the drought seem to have stopped the spread of the PSA disease
Incredible surprise for kiwifruit growers: the time seems to have stopped the spread of the PSA disease that afflicts the kiwifruit orchards.
In the Northland region, some orchards, reported as carriers of the virulent strain in the spring, are now proving to be false positives.
It is known that the diffusion of bacteriosis of the actinidia is favored by moisture. Although it impacts on fruit size, drought prevents the spread of disease.
