Russian business environment deterioration affects Israel farmers

According to the latest data, crop protection union of Israel has demanded compensation of losses due to economic crisis within local market of Russia. The amount of compensation required comprises approximately 32 mln. EURO. Based on the official data, Israel farmers regularly export significant amount of vegetables (sale volume - 150 mln.EURO) and fruits (sales volume - 32 mln.EURO) to the local market of Russia. Israel officials state that due to recent deterioration in the Russian business environment, Israel farmers losses are expected to go up to 63 mln.EURO.
