Sales of orange juice continue to fall

The lowest level in volume for 12 years.
The sales of orange juice continue to decline in the United States. American consumers bought 36.99 million gallons of orange juice (or 140,022,382 liters) over the four weeks ended June 7, a decrease of -6.9% compared to the same period of last year, according to data released by the Florida Department of Citrus.
This level had not been registered since January 19, 2002. Market professionals explain this drop in demand by the increase in prices for orange juice that was caused by a small American harvest, and the larger number of varieties of juice now offered to consumers.
