Macfrut 2023 focuses on nurseries and new varieties

The 40th edition of Macfrut will be held from May 3 to 5 in Rimini (Italy). One of the novelties of this edition will be the "Plant Nursery and Varietal Innovation Exhibition", a specialized event and international meeting point for nurseries, breeders, producers, experts and researchers.
In the exhibition space dedicated to nurseries and varietal innovation, visitors will have the opportunity to discover what has been achieved so far in the sector, to exchange and establish relationships with those who create and develop innovation in arboriculture.
Conferences and seminars are also scheduled as well as 5 workshops on fruit selection and new varieties. Emphasis will be placed on varietal innovation in the following areas: KIWI - TABLE GRAPE - APPLE - CHERRY - STRAWBERRY.
In addition, 5 round tables on the international activity of nurseries will address the following topics: the certification and qualification of nursery products, the forms of protection put in place for plant patents and the fight against "varietal piracy", varietal clubs and modern planning techniques in the fruit industry, new breeding technologies used to create innovation, and research and development of new techniques in the nursery sector.
