Due to troubles in Egypt, the arrival of potatoes from Pakistan in Russia are delayed and importers canceled their orders.

Exports of potatoes from Pakistan to Russia have been badly affected by the interruption of commercial activities in Egypt.

The Pakistan Association of Importers and Exporters (All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, Importers and Merchants) indicated that due to suspension of commercial activities in Port Said, many shipments are delayed for weeks.

This delay could lead the Russian importers to review their business options and cancellation of several orders.

Pakistan has already exported 75,000 tons of potatoes during the current season but the objective of 200 000 tons will be review  to 150,000 tons.
